  • Lalbagh Fort:

It was built in the starting of the 17th century under the Mughal period, by Azam Shah, one of the sons to Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. After the capital of Bengal was moved to Murshidabad from Dhaka, it caused the demotion in the fort’s popularization.

  • Dhakeshwari Temple:

It is the state-owned, national temple of the country, though it is a Hindu worship place in a Muslim majority country. The temple was built in the starting of the 12th century, and since then it is considered as “Goddess of Dhaka.” Many Hindus from around the world come to visit the temple and place their offerings to the almost century-old temple in the world.

  • Liberation War Museum:

This place is the historical stature of the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, where they overthrow the fascist regime of Pakistan with the help from India.

  • Hatirjheel:

One can spend time besides the famous Hatirjheel (elephant’s lake), the lakefront of Dhaka, which was once registered only for the Mughal war elephants to take a bath there. But, there are no elephants now still it is a beautiful scenic place of Dhaka.

  • Sadarghat:

Have a boat ride in the Sadarghat, which act as the Dhaka city riverfront port, on the banks of river Buriganga.

  • Old Dhaka:

Visit the old city of Dhaka to step into the Mughal period of the place, as it was recorded in the history, Dhaka was one of the most beautiful cities in the Mughal era.
